Reauthorization

URGENT: OSEP has issued policy guidance on disciplining students. Check U. S. Department of Education's website in the near future to see the "Initial Disciplinary Guidance Related to Removal of Children with Disabilities from their Current Educational Placement for Ten School Days or Less." NOTE: OSEP is not requiring the procedural steps of functional behavioral assessment or manifestation determinations for 10 days or less disciplinary actions. This policy guidance is being mailed to all school districts by DESE on September 25 and 26, 1997.
